Bahamas International Film Festival Screens 100-Plus Films

23 December, 2013: The 10th Annual Bahamas International Film Festival (BIFF) takes place at the Atlantis Theatre in Nassau, Bahamas from December 5th to 13th and is screening 108 films from 32 countries. Those who are staying in any of the nearby Caribbean luxury hotels and, especially those who love watching movies produced in different genres, are invited to visit and enjoy the film screening. Moreover, veteran Hollywood actor Danny Glover (Lethal Weapon, The Color Purple, Predator 2) will be on hand to receive the Career Achievement Award for his overall contributions not only to the movie industry, but also to various humanitarian efforts. 

The films scheduled to be screened during this year's BIFF include quirky short films such as Guy Paterson's 'A Performance' (about a performer in a run-down theatre), Erin Galey's 'Brave Girl' (about a 13-year-old Nepali girl in her first job in the city) and Ivan Francis Clements' 'Chrysanthemum' (about a really bored and angst teenaged girl), and the festival is also an excellent venue for feature-length films too. Among the notables include Tomer Almagor's '9 Full Moons', Arthur Landon's 'Side By Side' and the heart-wrenching 'Siddharth' by Indian film-maker Richie Mehta. But these are only a small handful of the rich variety of films scheduled for screening during the Film Fest and those visitors staying in nearby Caribbean luxury hotels are assured of a culturally satisfying experience with this year’s selection of more than a hundred films.
