Mrs. District of Columbia Wins National Fitness Award at Mrs. America

Meredith Egwuatu, Mrs. District of Columbia America 2014-15, recently competed at the Mrs. America 2015 pageant in Tucson, Arizona on August 29th.

She took home one of the top prizes, the National Fitness Award!

Touting the platform "Leadership Development through Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math," the 27-year old wife and mother of one daughter, competed against 51 contestants (Note: One more contestant was added this year from an online contest) and snagged the prestigious award for her overall appearance at the competition.

Meredith, a Director of Business Development at an IT consultant firm in the DC metro area paved her way to her award-winning body through months of work-out sessions with Stacy Adams of Fitness Together Central Georgetown.

"As one of the major sponsors for the Mrs. DC America organization, I have had the honor of preparing Meredith Egwuatu, Mrs. DC America 2014, for the Mrs. America Pageant. When Meredith won (Mrs. DC America 2014), I knew we had three things to work on in order to make her stand out: 1- posture to make her present her best package once our work was done. 2- increasing her lean tissue to balance out her thin physique and add feminine curves to her figure 3- improve her daily diet in order to increase her lean tissue and keep her energized for all of her life's demands," Stacy comments.

The Mrs. DC America Pageant publicly recognizes beautiful married women, living and/or working within a 25-mile radius of Washington, DC, who have obtained personal, professional and community achievements. An official preliminary pageant to Mrs. America and Mrs. World, the Mrs. DC America Pageant welcomes women from all ethnic backgrounds to compete in a yearly pageant for the title of Mrs. DC America.
