Ethical clothing retailer opens second store in Bristol, UK

Tiger Lily Ltd proudly opens its second store on the Gloucester Road in Bristol, famous for having the largest number of independent traders on any one road in the UK.
 
“After moving to Bristol only five months ago, Gloucester Road was the perfect choice for a second shop due to its diverse demographic and creative edge. It feels great to be part of such a fantastic hub of independent shops and friendly community.”
 
The shop stocks a range of funky clothing brands including the quirky and unique Spanish label Desigual and ethical fashion brands such as Skunfunk and Komodo.
 
In addition Tiger Lily carries a variety of accessories including vegan leather handbags and wallets from well known brand Matt & Nat, fabulous fake fur and leather bags from Urban Code and unique one-off pieces of gemstone and silver jewellery.
 
“The ranges are popular with all ages. A lot of people are particularly familiar with the quirky and colourful designs by Desigual – and I'm now apparently the only stockist in Bristol!”
 
Owner Marj Cook opened her first store 10 years ago in the historic market town of Ludlow in Shropshire after what had started as a hobby over 20 years ago, importing clothes and trinkets from Asia and The Middle East and selling them at market stalls and festivals in the UK, turned into a real small business.
 
“My inspiration for Tiger Lily came from years of travelling around the world and exploring the beautiful treasures found in the exotic souks and markets.”
 
Today, Tiger Lily’s stock is sourced from carefully selected suppliers both internationally and in the UK, much of which remains true to Marj’s passion for ethical and sustainable fashion products.
