Designer Keith Gordon Organises Charity Golf Day

03, February 2015: F&L Designers are very proud to announce that Keith Gordon, one of the acclaimed members of the F&L community, supports the annual golf day organised by the charity Ashwell’s Fight Against Cancer (AFAC), which is the local cancer centre at Addenbrooks Hospital, Cambridge. Last year the event raised an amazing £4000 and this year it is set to be even more of a success.

Set up by Christine Schofield, the charity is unusual in that it supports the much less well-known forms of cancer and those that perhaps do not receive as much recognition or fundraising. Cancers of the liver and the upper GI tract are two such aggressive forms of cancer and it is the cure of these that the golf day funds will help to support.

The golf day is being held on the 5th of June this year and includes many different golfing competitions such as the longest drive and nearest the pin. There will be a putting competition and many other interesting events. Participants of this great day can participate in as much or as little as they like, joining in for the whole day or just for the evening meal. If you are keen to join the golfing you can put together your own team of 4 or take part as an individual.

Alongside his designing and handcrafting, Keith is taking time out to put his energies into a worthwhile cause that has a growing profile thanks to the designer.
