24, February 2015: A popular wintering spot for artists and intellectuals, Fairhope, Alabama on Mobile Bay has seen its fair share of wintering writers - Sherwood Anderson, Wharton Esherick, Carl Zigrosser, and Upton Sinclair. When today's emerging authors need a wintering spot to write, they stay at the Key West Inn of Fair Hope http://www.dodbusopps.com/108377/23.htm

“I stopped here by accident” stated a guest. “I saw their sign and decided to see if they had a room for one. Rachel was working the front desk and signed me right into Room 113. The room was very pleasant and had a new pillow-top mattress. The water temp and pressure made for a relaxing shower. Breakfast was hot and filling. I enjoyed my stay so much I stayed for a second night.”

All rooms feature 1-king or 2-double beds, refrigerators, microwaves, free high-speed Internet access, and coffee makers. Great for outdoor enthusiasts, the quaint downtown also has much to offer its visitors - cafes, galleries, gift shops, boutiques. Eating out is great as the fishing villages harvest a bounty of the surrounding Gulf waters and local oysters, crabs and shrimp which then grace the menus of Fairhope's many restaurants.

“My fellow, my dog and I visited Fairhope this past weekend for a wedding,” stated a guest from Athens, Georgia. “We were traveling on a budget and were worried that we would be unable to find something in this lovely town that we could afford. The Key West Inn exceeded our expectations. The room was clean and comfy. The front desk went above and beyond what was needed to make sure that we were accommodated. The hotel is just a short drive from downtown and was in what seemed to be a safe and quiet area. (Fairhope was absolutely adorable.)”
