Hillsboro, OR – April 4, 2018 – Hawthorn Farm Athletic Club & Spa, an award-winning wellness facility, which boasts 68,000 square feet holding traditional gym amenities and an aquatics center, basketball courts, a running track, squash courts, four fitness studios, a climbing wall, childcare, conference center amenities and a full-service spa, has announced the onboarding of a new general manager, Dan Botnik.

After its grand re-opening under the ownership returned in 2015, the Principal Owner, Heidi Sivers-Boyce, has spearheaded a steady run of major enhancements. So far in 2018, these include a new software system and an exciting overhaul of the cycle studio.

"We’re working hard to bring the Club back to and beyond its former glory,” said Sivers-Boyce. “After spending time as acting General Manager myself, an important part of our growth is finding somebody committed to excellence, with a lifetime of experience in fitness, to manage day-to-day operations.” Before accepting the position with HFAC, Botnik served as the Chief Production Officer of Club Northwest and as a General Manager with national wellness operators, including Gold’s Gym and Bally Total Fitness, where he earned the accolade of General Manager of the Year, among others

In an interview, Botnik said, “Oregon is where my heart is, and I would like to spend the rest of my career devoted to lifting up the next generation of leaders at a large, IHRSA-worthy athletic club. Hawthorn Farm is part of the fabric of the Hillsboro community, and it shows.”

“Whether they know him as Dan, Danny, or Daniel, he interviewed with more than a dozen team members during our search process and every one of them were blown away by his passion and knowledge,” Sivers-Boyce noted with a smile. “While we’re pretty darn proud of where we are now, HFAC’s only going to continue to get better. We approach every day as an opportunity to improve, and that’s a core part of who we are.” HFAC is known as a multi-purpose health club, which includes a full-service spa.
