Dubai, UAE & New York, NY-- (March 14th, 2013) – Ms. Candice Beaumont was selected as a speaker for 3 upcoming conferences in Dubai, including the Asset Allocation Summit Middle East, Private Equity World Middle East and Emerging Mangers Forum Middle East. On Sunday March 4th at 4.05pm at the the Jumeirah Beach Hotel Candice will be part of an investor panel evaluating hedge fund managers during the Emerging Managers Forum. On Monday March 4th Ms. Beaumont will be discussing “Energy Investment” in a panel discussion with the Carlyle Group, SL Capital & Barclays Capital at 2pm at Private Equity World Middle East. Candice Beaumont was one of the early advocates of the peak oil theory, having made a very bullish prediction on oil at $28 per barrel a few years ago. Together with other experts such as T. Boone Pickens she forecast oil would go over $100 several years ago, and is sought after for her advice on investing in a peak oil environment, heavy oil and energy alternatives. She recently forecast that based on the current supply and demand economics that people should adapt to a high oil price environment. She believes we need all sources of oil and gas including heavy oil, shale gas, GTL, CTL to have increased production, as well as other alternative energy such as solar, wind and electric vehicles to come online in order to meet increasing global demand for oil, due to the economic growth in emerging markets such as China and India.

Candice Beaumont has over 15 years of experience in the financial markets. Her career began in Corporate Finance at Merrill Lynch. Candice worked as an investment banker at Lazard Frères for several years, executing over $20 billion of merger and acquisition advisory assignments, and later at Argonaut Capital in private equity. Ms. Beaumont attended Rice University, and obtained a Bachelor in Business Administration from the University of Miami, graduating first in her class with a major of International Finance & Marketing. She was a formerly a world ranked professional tennis player, and as Captain of the Miami Varsity Tennis team she earned Academic All American honors.
