Candice Beaumont Chosen as Speaker for Private Equity World, Asset Allocation Summit Middle East, and the Emerging Managers Forum Middle East in Dubai UAE

Dubai, UAE & New York, NY-- (March 14th, 2013) – Ms. Candice Beaumont was selected as a speaker for 3 upcoming conferences in Dubai, including the Asset Allocation Summit Middle East, Private Equity World Middle East and Emerging Mangers Forum Middle East. On Sunday March 4th at 4.05pm at the the Jumeirah Beach Hotel Candice will be part of an investor panel evaluating hedge fund managers during the Emerging Managers Forum. On Monday March 4th Ms. Beaumont will be discussing “Energy Investment” in a panel discussion with the Carlyle Group, SL Capital & Barclays Capital at 2pm at Private Equity World Middle East. She is also scheduled to speak on “the New Science of Asset Allocation” at 3.30pm at the Asset Allocation Summit at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel.

Candice Beaumont was one of the early advocates of the peak oil theory, having made a very bullish prediction on oil at $28 per barrel a few years ago. Together with other experts such as T. Boone Pickens she forecast oil would go over $100 several years ago, and is sought after for her advice on investing in a peak oil environment, heavy oil and energy alternatives. She recently forecast that based on the current supply and demand economics that people should adapt to a high oil price environment. She believes we need all sources of oil and gas including heavy oil, shale gas, GTL, CTL to have increased production, as well as other alternative energy such as solar, wind and electric vehicles to come online in order to meet increasing global demand for oil, due to the economic growth in emerging markets such as China and India.

Candice Beaumont is the Chief Investment Officer who runs L Investments, a family office with a vast portfolio of public and private equity that is primarily focused on commodities and alternative energy. She oversees both direct investments as well as all capital allocation decisions for both private equity and hedge funds. Candice is also a strategic advisor to Genoil Inc, (www.Genoil.ca) an emerging heavy oil energy technology and portfolio company of L Investments that recently announced moving forward on a joint venture with His Highness Dr. Sultan Bin Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahayan, the eldest son of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahayan, President of the United Arab Emirates, Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Ruler of Abu Dhabi. She is an Advisory Board member of the Family Office Association, a global membership organization exclusive to single family offices and families of significant wealth. Candice is often quoted in the media for her opinions on oil and gas and has been a speaker at numerous family office and investment conferences across the globe. She is a NYU Stern Family Office Council member serving on the Steering Committee, Candice serves on the Steering Committee of the Yale University School of Management College of Family Offices, as well as the Steering Committee of the Princeton University Council of Family Offices and Endowments. She is a member of the Board of Directors of I2BF Venture Fund II, a DIFC regulated clean technology venture capital firm with offices in Dubai, New York, London and Moscow, as well as an Advisory Board member of the Dubai based Luxury Fund that focuses on private equity transactions in the luxury space. She remains committed to community and philanthropic causes and serves on the Board of Directors of Most Valuable Kids of Greater New York Inc., a charity that helps reward and inspire underprivileged children by getting them tickets to sports events as well as being a member of Athletes for Hope, a charity that helps athletes make a difference off the field with charitable endeavors. Candice is also a Board Member of Care for Kenya a charity that helps strengthen the socioeconomic conditions in Kenya by creating opportunities for women of all ages to become entrepreneurs - working toward a sustainable model that will support generations to come.

Candice Beaumont has over 15 years of experience in the financial markets. Her career began in Corporate Finance at Merrill Lynch. Candice worked as an investment banker at Lazard Frères for several years, executing over $20 billion of merger and acquisition advisory assignments, and later at Argonaut Capital in private equity. Ms. Beaumont attended Rice University, and obtained a Bachelor in Business Administration from the University of Miami, graduating first in her class with a major of International Finance & Marketing. She was a formerly a world ranked professional tennis player, and as Captain of the Miami Varsity Tennis team she earned Academic All American honors.
