Visitors Revel in Barbados’s Crop Over Festival

Summer is an excellent time for visiting Barbados because the Crop Over Festival is held over July and August. The origins date back over two centuries, when it began as a celebration of the end of the sugar season. 

The festival went into decline when the sugar industry began to become less important, and it stopped completely in 1940. However, it was revived in the 1970s and has been growing every year.
