Done Card receives RBI node for pre-paid card: Looking for bright future

OSS Retails Pvt. Ltd (ONE STOP SHOP ) group’s subsidiary company, Done Card Utility Limited, has received the Certificate from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) for issue and operation of prepaid instruments-cash card under the brand name Done Card.

Now the group is all set to re-create the magic by revolutionizing the direct to customer services by providing consumers with products and services in the most convenient way.

OSS group is engaged in online business and it is India’s first single window operation, where the consumers can place the orders for both the commodities and services. The users can buy the Railway tickets, Air tickets and even book the luxury buses. Simultaneously, the users can select various take services including Mobile Recharging, Couriers, Forex, medical services, bills payment, make PAN cards, insurance, matrimony and even hire legal services etc.

In fact, it became one the first company in India to get such license. The RBI has created a new segment of pre paid cash card and also issued separate rule and regulations for the same. The guidelines are very stringent and more or less similar to banking rules.

Explaining the concept of pre-paid card, Subhash Jewria, chairman and Managing Director said it will be little different than the existing credit/debit card. However, we have to Comply RBI guidelines as the users have to fill up, Know Your Customer (KYC) form and the one time upper limit will be restricted to Rs 10,000.

With such permission, we will be concentrating heavily on those rural markets which don’t have credit/debit card facilities. The customer can easily go for this kind of pre-paid cash and do various transactions including purchase of bus ticket, rail ticket, paying various utility bills, mobile recharging etc.

“As of now, we are selling around 50,000 air-rail tickets through both agents as well as direct. The site has become very famous and we are registering 30 lakhs-35 lakhs hits every day from all over India, as it not only save the time, but provides instant and hassle free solution”, Mr. Jewria added.

Talking about the futures growth, Jewria said, ~We plans to double the revenue to Rs 3,000 crore by 2011 and Rs 6,000 crore by end of 2012. Similarly, the Business Partner net work will be expanded to 2,00,000 from the existing level of 50,000+

We plan to cover entire India-networking of almost all the metroes and mini-metroes of India, having our agents and channel partners. Our main intention is to cover each and every villages and provides services to the common man including the farmers, he said.

Promoted by Subhash Jewria and Ketan Shah, the company is now offering around 45 important products and services through its 50,000+ business associates spread across 365 cities and 19 states of India.
