Nashville, Tennessee, January 14, 2014: The latest compilation released by Full Armor Productions, “Dusty King James” captures the true sound of gospel, blues, and soul with veteran artists including Glen Kaiser, Georgia-based blues outfit Mudcat, Maz Mitrenko, Russell Gulley, Larry Howard, Johnny Neel, and new comer Mark Bush. The eclectic group of artists featured on the compilation is what allows "Dusty King James" to capture the true classic spirit of blues and gospel roots, while providing a modern sound.
Listeners around the world get to experience classic American blues and gospel music, which makes the release a noteworthy addition to the Full Armor catalog. Kaiser lends his unique brand of blues gospel to provide a modern version of the Robert Johnson classic "Crossroads" as well as "Since I Laid My Burdens Down". The title track "Dusty King James" and "Still Got Time" is performed by uplifting gospel artist Mark Bush, who is described by Full Armor Productions as "an artist on a mission to reach lost souls through his lyrics and inspirational message". Mudcat, a blues band from Georgia performs a lively revival of the classic blues gospel "I Want To Be Ready", while English blues artist Maz Mitrenko gives a rockabilly edge to his original gospel composition "The River". Russell Gully contributes his version of "John The Revelator" as well as an original track "No Holds Barred". This unique blend of acoustic blues and Bayou-style vocals is one of the highlights of the compilation which creates the perfect mix of old and new. Lastly, Southern rock veterans Larry Howard and Johnny Neel provide their distinctive brand of blues and gospel with the tracks "Real Miracle Man" by Howard, and Neel's version of the Woody Guthrie classic "This Train" along with his original gospel composition "Maybe Jesus".
