Instrotech New Features, Milestones & Special Offers

Instrotech, a UK specialist distributor of electrical test equipment, has recently added some great new products to their range to ensure the safety of electricians at work.

The new Martindale VI13800 safety voltage indicator has been launched to fully comply with BS EN61243-3:2010. The new standard prohibits the use of a fuse in 2 pole voltage indicators, therefore the new VI13800 incorporates a high wattage resistor in the probe to limit the current in the event of damage to the cable.

Safe isolation procedures recommend using a proving unit to prove your voltage indicator is working correctly, therefore the VI13800 can also be purchased as a kit, the Martindale VIPD138, which includes the voltage indicator, proving unit and carry case.

The third product now available is a comprehensive lock off kit. Locking off a circuit when work is being carried out is a must, to ensure the circuit cannot be accidentally activated whilst someone is working on it. The new Martindale lock off kit, (MARLOKKIT), features a selection of MCB lock out devices, a multi user hasp, padlock with unique key, lock off tags, pen and carry case.

Company Milestones

In 2013, Instrotech were appointed as an official distributor for Fluke Calibration. We are now able to offer their high end range of calibration equipment, including dead weight testers, dry well calibrators and flow calibrators.

We have two technical advisors in-house who are on hand to advise on the right equipment for your requirements and also carry out on-site demonstrations if required.
