Wednesday 24th June will see the return of the jogscotland 5k challenge to Glasgow Green, where the fourth leg of this year’s series of 5k challenges will take place. Team Challenge Company and jogscotland continue to offer you and your workplace the chance to get out of the office and sign up for The 5k Workplace Challenge.
Team Challenge Company’s very own Dozer the Clown is yet again ready to take up the challenge at Glasgow Green and raise as much money as he can for charity, having already completed his first jogscotland 5k challenge at Haddo Country Park last week. Dozer is a very popular member of Team Challenge Company, and always a big hit at the numerous Corporate Events he attends. It is hoped that his participation will once again inspire others to take on The 5k Workplace Challenge and play their part in raising money for charity and support a very worthy cause.
Dozer completed his first jogscotland 5k challenge at Haddo Country Park in his full clown attire, and did so in a remarkable time of just 25 minutes. Following his run, Dozer the Clown said, ““Wow! 5k is a lot further than I ever thought it was, I’m just glad I didn’t have to complete the course on my Pedalo! It was a great race, the entire event has been fantastically well organised, and I’m very pleased I can do my bit for charity and support the 5k Workplace Challenge.” Why not come along to Glasgow Green and see if you can spot Dozer the Clown bounding around the course – he should be fairly easy to spot!
The 5k Workplace Challenge aims to promote healthy lifestyles within the workplace and help company employees get fit for business. Workplaces are encouraged to register a team for the Challenge and compete across the various legs of The Co-operative jogscotland 5k challenges to win a team day out with Team Challenge Company, all whilst raising money for charity. Stephen Hazley, a Director of Team Challenge Company said, “Team Challenge Company is proud and privileged to sponsor The 5k Workplace Challenge, and assist with raising as much money for charity as possible whilst encouraging corporate clients out of the office and into their trainers.”
The Glasgow leg of the campaign, which takes place on Wednesday 24th June at Glasgow Green, is the fourth of five opportunities for corporate teams to compete in The 5k Workplace Challenge, with prizes for the top team at each challenge venue, as well as that final overall prize of a team day with Team Challenge Company for the top team in the series, which concludes on 30th June in Edinburgh.
Alistair Currie, Manager of jogscotland said, “Thanks to Team Challenge Company for showing their support of The Co-operative 5k challenge series.”
“With entertainment, prizes and goody bags, plus the welcoming and friendly jogscotland atmosphere, The Co-operative jogscotland 5k Challenges are not to be missed.”
