Introducing - Once Viewed from Afar (28th September – 3rd October 2009)– an exhibition by up and coming artists Sarah Crew and Chris Holman.

Working in separate mediums of photography and paint, Crew and Holman combine their concern for the demise of the English countryside. Holman chooses to take refuge in a fictional rural idyll, with a childlike wonder expressed through vivid colour and surface pattern. While Crew tackles her anxiety through character creation, showing once wild animals as domesticated, light heartedly telling the story of creatures in search of a new habitat within the blurring boundaries of country and city.

I would be delighted to invite you to review or feature this exhibition, and to attend Crew and Holman's private view on the 29th September. 'Once Viewed from Afar' will be showing at Gallery 27 (http://www.gallery27.com/) centrally located on Cork Street, the heart of London's commercial art district.
