The Las Vegas Branch of the NAACP will be hosting – Part II – of a Community Forum with;
Metro Police Dept – Sheriff
North Las Vegas Police Dept – Chief/Captain
Henderson Police Dept – Chief/Captain
Clark County School District Police - Chief
Clark County Probation/Parole Officers
Coroner Inquest office
Municipal/District Judges
ACLU
D.A. Office
WHAT:
Our purpose and mission is to be a facilitator in helping to build the trust between law enforcement and the community by having on-going dialogue/conversation and information sharing with the community.
In particular, we want to help foster a helpful and healthy relationship between young men of color and law enforcement by countering myths, engaging grassroots leaders, and the public in the process of re-envisioning a cohesive environment between the police and the community.
