Phil Olson’s award-winning new play – Mom’s Gift

17 December, 2013: The World Premiere of Phil Olson’s award-winning new play, Mom’s Gift, opened at the Lonny Chapman Group Rep Theatre in North Hollywood on Dec 6th and runs thru Jan 19th. 

Mom’s Gift has won 9 playwriting awards including:
- Winner - McLaren Memorial Comedy Playwriting Competition, Midland TX
- Winner - TRU New Voices Play Festival, NY NY
- Winner - Northern Writes Playwright Festival, Bangor ME
- Winner - Best Stage Play - World Series of Screenwriting, Los Angeles, CA

In this world premiere comedy with a heart, Mom has been dead for 11 months and shows up at her husband’s birthday party as a ghost with a mission. Like Clarence in “It’s A Wonderful Life,” she has to accomplish a task to earn her wings. Only what the task actually is, is a mystery.
