London; United Kingdom; 13, November 2015: The team at Vivi have announced that they are now supporting UK children’s charity Magic Breakfast.
Vivi is unique amongst market research companies in that as well as providing polling data for clients, its goal is to raise money for charity. Anyone aged 16 or over can join Vivi and participate in online surveys. Each time they share their opinions, as well helping to shape the decisions made by a wide variety of organisations, they raise vital funds for some great causes.
And Magic Breakfast is one such cause. Already over half a million children go to school too hungry to learn, a number that is set to rise steeply. According to the Institute for Fiscal Studies the number of UK children living in poverty will have risen from 3.6m to 4.3 million by 20201.
Consequently, the work of Magic Breakfast has never been more important. This small, but highly effective charity provides free, nutritious breakfasts to over 22,000 children in 460 schools each morning, but has a sizeable waiting list of schools requesting urgent food aid.
Magic Breakfast has a positive impact not only in giving children a healthy start, but also to the economy. Diseases caused by malnutrition are predicted to cost the NHS £13bn a year2. Getting children and parents into the habit of a healthy breakfast is, according to doctors, something of a silver bullet in terms of achieving long-term improvements in diet.
Julian Misell of Vivi says ‘We are proud to support Magic Breakfast. It is a highly effective charity that will do a great deal of good with the money that Vivi panel members raise. We want to make it easy for people to help this great cause, so just five minutes of someone’s time will generate two or even three magic breakfasts.’
