Dr. David McDaniel, Virginia Beach Dermatologist and founder of McDaniel Laser & Cosmetic Center, is proud to announce that he is now offering Kybella™ injections, the first FDA approved non-surgical treatment for submental fullness or fat known as the “double chin”. Dedicated to providing his patients with the latest in aesthetic injectables, Dr. McDaniel has added Kybella™ to his list of cosmetic services. Dr. McDaniel serves on the Kybella™ Speaker’s Bureau and was the first in the Virginia Beach area to offer Kybella™ injections.

Kybella™ injections are administered into the fat under the chin causing the destruction of the fat cells. Once destroyed, the cells can no longer accumulate or store fat. Common side effects include temporary swelling, bruising, pain and/or redness in the treatment areas. Most of the common side effects reduce quickly, but swelling may last for several weeks. Treatment sessions are typically spaced 4-6 weeks apart. Results may be seen quickly, but continue to improve for months. The cost varies widely and depends on the size of the area to be treated as well as the amount of fat – as these two factors determine the volume of Kybella used.
