Usfidelis And Nascar Angels Join Efforts To Make A Difference In The Life Of A Deserving Swimming Coach

St. Louis-based USfidelis Partners with NASCAR Angels to keep dreams alive for inner-city swim team in Las Vegas

Across the country, some people are struggling every day just to get to work, take the kids to school or make it to a doctor’s appointment because they cannot keep the family vehicle moving. NASCAR Angels is a nationally-syndicated television show that is working to change lives by making needed repairs to vehicles for people and charitable organizations that may have no other option. At USfidelis, we are also committed to helping people keep their cars safely on the road for longer periods of time. This commitment is even more important during tough economic times. In building on that mission, USfidelis has partnered with NASCAR Angels to make a difference in the lives of some deserving people and organizations.
One example of this partnership is shown in a recent episode of NASCAR Angels featuring Navy veteran Bill Carroll. Bill is a high school swim coach in Las Vegas who volunteers his time by sharing his passion for swimming with inner-city kids. As the head coach for the non-profit Desert Storm Swimming Club, Bill uses his 2001 Ford Winstar to pick up swimmers who otherwise couldn’t afford to make it to practice. The van is also used as the team’s transportation to meets in Nevada and California as these young swimmers pursue their dreams of earning college scholarships. Due to repair needs that were not being met, the safety of the van was in serious question and needed help. The condition of the van was putting the safety of the kids at risk and jeopardizing the program… that is where NASCAR Angels and USfidelis came in. Through the efforts of the NASCAR Angels crew at Las Vegas-based Bruce Scher’s Goodyear Gemini, Bill and the Dessert Storm Swim Club team were back on the road with the needed repairs plus an extended vehicle service contract from USfidelis to help take the worries out of potential unexpected future repair needs.
USfidelis is honored to have the opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of people in need.
“As a business that employs roughly 1,000 people, we believe our partnership with NASCAR Angels is a perfect platform to demonstrate our commitment to give back to our communities and also help people save money by keeping their cars safely on the road longer,” said Chris Riley, CEO, USfidelis. “Record numbers of people are buying extended vehicle service contracts from USfidelis and this is just one small way we give back to those less fortunate.”
