India; 10, December 2016: India is regarded as one of the most technologically active countries today. As per estimates the number of smartphone users are expected to increase manifolds in the coming 5 years. Moreover, the government has already laid the carpets to promote a technological revolution through the initiative known as Digital India. The initiative conceptualizes solar powered android tablets and comes aided with an OUTERNET satellite receiver. This intends to create a new digital revolution across rural India. A detailed study was already conducted in states like Bihar and Jharkhand. The response was very encouraging indeed and has already been appreciated by USA based investors & technology partners.

Mr. Sanwill Srivastava who belongs to Jharkhand is the person who has coined this concept. He believes that by bringing a transformative change through the use of technology, there can be a vast revolution that can be brought in rural India. As per Mr. Srivastava, the initiative has already been successful in the 1st round which included technological presentations. After the 1st round gets completed, the technical team of Edimpact would be trained at Wisconsin based training division for over 6 weeks. The project starts from the states of Bihar and Jharkhand which are among those states where electricity is very scarce. Further, it would be extended to other parts of the country.
