Heavy Hammer Inc. Shows Support of Susan Komen Maryland with Charitable Donation

"Award-Winning Tech Company Hammers Back Against Breast Cancer"

As part of its commitment to customers, Heavy Hammer Inc. remains engaged with the surrounding community throughout the year. In December of 2019, the Annapolis-based real estate technology company raised $2,500 for Susan G. Komen Maryland to help with the fight against breast cancer.

Susan G. Komen is the world’s largest non-profit source of funding in the fight against breast cancer. Komen Maryland, which also serves Kent and Sussex Counties in Delaware, is a top local Komen affiliate.

The Susan G. Komen Mission: Save lives by meeting the most critical needs in our communities and investing in breakthrough research to prevent and cure breast cancer.

One in eight women in the U.S. will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime and 42,000 people will die of breast cancer this year. What separates Komen from other organizations is that its model addresses multiple elements of breast cancer care, including research, community health, global outreach, and public policy initiatives. This approach is built to make the most significant impact against this disease.
