Three Valley’s Ski Instructor Races Down Mount Etna

27, October 2014: Many people will be planning their ski holidays as the winter season approaches, and for those heading to the Alps, now is a great time to book one of the ski chalets. La Tania is one of the best resorts in the Alps, but there are also many others to choose from in the Three Valleys ski area.

However, it seems like some people just cannot wait for the snow to start and have been getting an early start before the ski season! One of these is a well-known ski instructor from the Three Valleys area, who has filmed himself skiing down the slopes of Mount Etna in some unique footage – which, has, predictably, gone viral. His daredevil actions have thrilled ski fans all over the world as he is filmed hurtling down the lava slopes.

Few skiers, no matter how advanced, would consider confronting the slopes of Mount Etna like Marco Tomasello, but the Italian ski instructor and his group of friends did not seem at all perturbed there was no snow! The ski guide's summer job is as a tour guide on Mount Etna, so he has intimate knowledge of the slopes. He describes himself as a "free rider" and the thrilling footage was caught on his head camera, providing a unique angle. Tens of thousands of people have now watched the footage online.

Of course, such daredevil activities are not recommended for normal skiers who come to the French Alps for a holiday in one of the ski chalets! La Tania has plenty of thrilling slopes to keep even the most advanced skiers entertained, but a range for beginners as well. For keen winter sportspeople planning on booking a ski break in one of the chalets, La Tania is one of the best options in the Three Valleys. This season is shaping up to be a good one by all reports, so experts from specialised ski accommodation companies like Ski Amis are recommending booking early.
