New Book Just Released – Blue Ribbon Winning Cookbook for Main Dishes, Casseroles and Vegetables Recipes

Bellevue, Wa  April 22, 2015 - County and State Fairs are a rich cultural segment of American life.  Whether one goes to take in the rides to experience the carnival, to observing the animals, plants, crafts and a whole lot more, fairs are a fun family experience to attend.

Fairs are also a place of friendly, local competition.  In all the categories listed above, and for creative cooks as well, who enter their food fares to be judged, spend time and hard work preparing for the event.  The experience can be both rewarding and nail-biting for these contestants.  Some have entered these fair competitions for many years and it has become an annual tradition.

Author Amber Richards has just released her newest book 'County Fair Blue Ribbon Winning Cookbook - Main Dish, Casserole, & Vegetable Recipes'.  Each recipe has been at least a blue ribbon winner in a county or state fair, while some were best in show winners.  With over 100 fabulous recipes,  it could end the 'what's for dinner tonight?' doldrums.  

Pacific Northwest-based author, Amber Richards states, "This is the first book released, in what will be a series of cookbooks, all blue ribbon winning recipes.  My hope is that they will be a great addition to every cook's recipe collection who look for seriously good, homemade food.  Perhaps it will also be a resource for those looking to enter competitions in their own local fairs."

Some of the recipes that can be found in this book are:  Chicken Hand Pies with a Kick, Haddock Glazed with Cilantro Lime Butter, Savory Meatball Pie, Cranberry & Sweet Potato Crepes, Cream of Parsnip Carrot Soup to name only a few.   These are recipes family and friends are sure to love.  The book is available in e-book or paperback formats.
