Today on UCW Radio host Louis Velazquez aka Falcon Coperis had the up and coming UK based singer/songwriter Tara London on the show. Born and raised in the United Kingdom Tara London is looking to take her place among the top female singers in her genre which include Adele, Duffy and Amy Winehouse.

With training in Acting, Musical and Technical Theatre, Tara London’s involvement in performance and composition dates back to the early days of her youth. Strong influences including Billie Holiday, Elvis Presley and Janis Joplin explain her passion for individuality and flair, especially in the adverse face of existing trends. Always projecting a sound that inspires an emotive response within her, the desire to spread this feeling to those around her is the main drive behind this hugely talented musician, caring little for the conventional trappings of fame and fortune.

Tara's music is a fusion of jazz, blues and retro pop, think Eva Cassidy meets Duffy! A truly engaging and inspiring performer, coupled with an amazing voice and charming personality, Tara is an artist of true quality, a rare find in an ocean full of aspiring Singer/Songwriters.

Presently Tara is about to release her long awaited debut E.P and single Ordinary Girl' which will be available for purchase on Itunes, Cd Baby and Amazon in the very near future.Tara has traveled far and wide across London and the UK, with further dates to be confirmed across Europe and the US in 2010.

"Tara London had a unique sound and I have to say she may have one up on her closest counterpart Duffy, also of the UK, both women are talented but stage presence is a key element in performing, of along with a strong voice which this girl has" stated Louis Velazquez

Tara’s endeavours have recently been reflected in the 2008 Indy Music Awards where she was selected as one of the four finalists up for 'Best Female Solo Artist' a category that had attracted over a 100,000 norminated artists. Meanwhile, work continues on her forth coming E.P 'Ordinary Girl' and her debut album ‘The Whispering Years’, signalling no pause in momentum for this bright star of the future.
