London, 8 September- Global software company HansaWorld has been shortlisted for the Accountancy Age Awards 2009 in the category 'Mid-tier Software Package of the Year'. HansaWorld's flagship product Enterprise by HansaWorld has received the Accountancy Age Award in the same category already twice, in 2006 and in 2007.

The awards recognise the very best in business, practice and in the public and voluntary sectors across the UK.

"We recognise that accountants in the UK are conservative, and resistant to solutions other than from the big brands. That's why it means so much to us to have won the Accountancy Age Awards two years running, and once again to have been recognised on the shortlist. We hope that our continuing lead in innovation will translate into better perception amongst UK accountants, and the willingness to get their clients to check out what makes us so different."

HansaWorld's entry this year picked out several innovations added recently, including:
- real-time users for Apple's iPhone, covering point of sales, management reporting, time and expenses
- a completely restyled real-time webshop, with impressive configuration options, and supporting size and colour matrixes for the fashion industry
- real-time Business Intelligence through pre-written templates.

Also HansaWorld has seen significant growth into new geographic markets, with the entry into the United States, Canada, Brazil, Singapore, the Philippines and Vietnam. This makes HansaWorld a particularly strong choice when clients are looking for international features such as multi-language, multi-currency, strong real-time consolidation and 24x7 server uptime.

The gala event takes place on 18 November at Battersea Park Arena in London.
